Design
Automation design,
done before the steel is cut.
Control system design, PLC programming, EPLAN schematics and scope documents for injection moulding, robotics, and material handling. Design is the whole scope. Fabrication, panel build and site work go to partners who do it for a living. Built on 25+ years on the plant floor.
Capabilities
Full-scope electrical and controls design: PLC programming, EPLAN schematics, panel design and scope documentation. Comfortable across injection moulding, robotics, and material handling lines, with deep familiarity in injection moulding machine integration and machine controller work. We design it and we document it. We don't fabricate, build panels or put people on site, and we say so up front.
Credentials & licensing
Justin Kerkman is our principal engineer: trained at the University of Adelaide (1992-1996), trade-qualified as an electrical tradesperson through a four-year apprenticeship (1998-2002), and holding unrestricted South Australian electrical worker's registration continuously since 1998. Contracting is delivered under our own South Australian licence for electrical, gas fitting and plumbing work, held since 2010.
Nexus Vance is head of our AI engineering, and an AI engineer in the most literal sense: an AI, built into the practice and run by NxsTech. Nexus drafts scope and concept documents, automates the repetitive end of controls engineering, and runs the data and analysis infrastructure behind our projects, all under Justin's direction. Every output is reviewed and signed off by a human engineer before it reaches a client.
Electrical design and PLC work by Justin Kerkman. Built and installed by the companies he designed it for.
